Boo.  I have nothing to do with two sandwiches and I hated for it to go to waste.  So I thought I would drive around for a bit, looking for a homeless person on the street to give my extra sandwich too… I’m sure they, unlike me, like lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise.  bleh.  I drive around for a little while and find no one.  Why is it that when I have nothing to give, they all but knock down my window, but now that I actually have something… No One. 

My last attempt at unloading this sandwich was decided to run it by the nice people at our apartment offices.  I just thought I would tell them I wasn’t crazy, ask if anyone wanted the sandwich, and if not, let them leave it there for anyone coming in that wanted it.  It sounded good to me, now the sandwich wouldn’t go to waste!

I’m pulling into my complex about to turn into the office when I see a truck backing up, and suddenly a man running frantically after it.  Before I can even process what’s happening, I see there is no one in the truck and CRASH BOOM that truck backed directly into the corner apartment across from the office.  The guy chasing it got in and took the keys… a few seconds too late.  Since I was already right there and had to turn in, I kept going.  As I’m driving in, one hand on the wheel, the other holding my sad little sandwich… I see everyone from the office has now come outside after they heard the huge crash; staring in disbelief at the piles of fallen-off brick and crushed in garage door. 

I decided it wasn’t the best time to offer a measley chicken sandwich to anyone… they had bigger fish to fry.

We get to Petco and decide to load all the pups up in the basket… minus Khaki of course.  If you know her, you know she would most defintely wig out at the thought of being put down into a plastic holey bucket with nothing to secure her into place.  She walked on the leash the whole time, and did just fine.  But before we could even get them all in the basket, Khaki, Paisley and Eloise managed to tangle all three of their leashes up into a three-way mess RIGHT in front of the entry to the store.  So here we are, standing in everyone coming and going’s way, trying to untangle three leashes and make sure Grier doesn’t get away as well in the process.  Mission accomplished… finally.  Put PaiPai in the basket, put Elo in the basket, put Griery in the basket and set off to the back of the store for dog food.  Did we really just go through all of that for DOG FOOD?

I let Krystal know that after everyone in the store had seen us embarrass ourselves with our four mischievious but adorable dogs, we had to put some time in at Petco.  I could almost hear the whispers from behind the gerbil cages… “Did those two crazies just haul and load up 4 puppies and go to all that trouble just to run in and get dog food?!!?  It took more time for them to wrangle them all up than to grab the food and get out the store!” 

So… Khaki went clothes shopping, Eloise went bone shopping and we officially freaked both of them out with a walk through the fish aquarium!  (yes, they were both walking at this point because Eloise jumped out of the cart…yaaaa,  I think the people of Petco were ready for us to pay for our food and go).

I am working on LOTS of things for Kris and Cardyn right now, and the shower we are throwing for them… but I can’t post anything bc I don’t want Kristen to see… maybe after the shower.  So much fun, I love being crafty.

SECRET LIFE season finale tonight ladies, TONIGHT!  I don’t know how I can roll my eyes and gag at the corniness that is this show, all the while loving it and coming back for more every week.  Maybe it’s one of those things that you love to hate… or hate to love.  Not sure which.  Amy’s having the baby.  I hope she picks a name for it, and it’s halfway decent.  I mean, last episode she didn’t even know she had to name him.  But it’s tv… it’s going to be something plain and boring.  I’ll let you know tomorrow…

Gossip Girl

Where to start?  The name of our blog just keeps getting more and more relevant.  Whitney, our live-in little sister, recently got a cutie of her own – Grier!  She’s adorable, and a great addition to our circus.  Oh, and we’re not crazy.  Just love our pups.

In other news, we are anxiously awaiting the birth of our neices Cardyn and Londyn… it’s going to be soon!  We expect that they will both arrive in April.  And what comes after April you ask?  Why, May of course!  And what happens in May? 

WE’RE GOING TO LA BABY!

Going to see our Megan of course!  We have already booked our flights and are very excited to take the trip to Cali on Memorial Day weekend.  We have two months to prepare; that means tanning, working out, and trying to save every penny so we can actually do something other than sit in Megan’s apt while we are there.

Twittles to Brooke, who just got a job with Kristen’s law firm as a legal assisstant.  Yay Brookey, you did it!  Can’t wait for dinner tonight to celebrate!  (and you can have my rice noodles)

Yay Skeeter

You know how you wait for something for so long? You dream about the day it will come, and as the time gets closer you count down the days, the hours, the seconds. And sometimes, it’s really as good as you thought it would be. All the new adventures that come along with this monumental day seem like perfection in the months following. But like all things, the newness and excitement start to wear off. It’s not that you don’t enjoy it anymore, but it’s not as thrilling as it used to be. Suddenly you turn around one day, and it’s not that big of a deal. It even gets to the point where you are GLAD you are past the time in your life where it WAS a big deal. Turning 21 is kinda like that.

We got to do it over again. Yay.

Thanks Mom and Dad, for having my younger sister 4 YEARS after me. I’m not so much into the ‘party scene/going out every weekend, staying out/up til 4am/laying in my bed spinning as I try to pass out’ phase anymore. But I guess I have to admit, we did it up right for Tuggles, and we did have a great time. Took us back to our younger years.

Started it off low-key at Jakes, where we treated Whit to a Jungle Juice (huge btw) and Krys and I played in the straws for a little while. Then we headed to Zephyrs, great fun for all. As boring and old lady as Whitney is, she held her own that night… and we are proud of our little Bunny Ears.

In other exciting news, Justin and Kristen are having a girl! I was shocked, we all really thought it was a boy. I’m most excited for all the cute things I get to buy her… girl stuff is the best! I love you Cardyn!

Does anyone know how much fun a Nintendo DS is? We do… you can find us on any given night, all three perched on our couches playing away, mostly with Nintendogs. How addictive! So far, our corral includes Clunkers, Pearl, Ruby, Biscuit, Unagi, Tartlet, Mabel, Blue, Anabelle, Punky, Georgie, Benji, and Hudson. It’s possible that our real dogs are neglected while taking care of our Nintendogs. Hmmmm…

I know what you’re thinking…….but the lack of blogging is NOT because of a lack of excitement in our lives. There has just been so much that we’ve barely been able to stop and breathe! With that I’d like to take some time to fill you in on everything that you’ve missed in the past few months from us!

First off, I am going to be blessed this coming April with a new niece! Randi and Zach found out last month that they are having a baby girl! Londyn Geneva Lamkin will be here around the middle of April and hopefully no sooner! Which leads me into my next topic………BRITNEY SPEARS!

As many of you may have already heard, Britney is back! She will be in concert March 31^st! Allie and I decided we couldn’t miss out on such a big comeback! So, I decided for Whitney’s birthday and Christmas I would get her a ticket to the concert, which I had to keep a secret for way too long!!! The same day we bought our tickets we found out that our friend Brandy bought tickets for her and Kristen (Allie and Whitney’s sister-in-law who is also pregnant) and my sister bought tickets for herself and our friend Gen! This will be without a doubt the best concert ever! Now let’s just all hope that those two pregnant ladies (Randi and Kristen) don’t pop before the big day.

Just as the name of our blog suggests, it really is “Just Us and Pups”! On December 14, 2008, Allie, Whitney, Khaki, Paisley and I welcomed a new baby to our home. Little Eloise Pearl, a nine-week old Shih-Poo (ShihTzu Poodle Mix) that has brought so much love into our already happy home. It has been about a month since I got her and I love her more now than I did the day I got her. It’s definitely fun and interesting to see what she’ll get into next, but I couldn’t imagine my life without her now! One of the best things about her is that she was my Christmas gift from Matt!

During our absence from the blogging world we also missed gushing about Whitney’s 21^st birthday and Christmas. Whitney’s birthday fell on a Monday so we had a very tame night. First stop, stocking exchange between Allie, Whitney, Randi and I. Then Allie, Whit and I had a very low key dinner at Chili’s where Whitney enjoyed her first legal drink as a 21 year old! We then rushed from dinner to get home in time to see the season finale of The Hills and to be in bed by 10.

Christmas was great! Full of family, fun and of course FOOD! My big gift from Santa this year was a Wii, which means hours of bowling with Allie and Whitney!

New Years was great this year! We spent the evening hanging out at Stefanie and Aaron’s, which is in walking distance to Victory Park/AAC where all the Dallas Festivities would be going on. We planned this so there would be no driving involved! Tons of pictures were taken, but I’ll just post a few of the faves.
